Tell Me Something Good

i dont know what i was expecting to hear. what motivation drags me there.i guess this "what will happen?" thing pops up when we get bored or desperate ( of what??) of somethings.we pay someone for listen our future how strange it sounds right now.
ok lets be honest here. we(i) want to hear something good about present or/and future. ok we
(i) want it to be something nice, something that we(i) were hoping. gather some good friends and wait for the moment. when i was wainting there, i was wondering is this specific sentiment belongs to women? are we that addicted to curiosity of destiny? what if nothing wil happen, will i give up? or what if it will going to happen, what does it mean then? she is just a woman who works at a cafe and try to foresee the future. ohh and you pay for it.
at end of the day, i understand that i dont want to think or judge. i met a fortune teller who is sweet, feverish and speaks very fast. i may visit her some time....and yes, she told me nice things.

Party on the DanceFloor

about 2 months ago, a bunch of us chatting at the office. everyone was so bored and lazy and at some point we were talking about doing something together, get socilize.. whatever. for no reason one of us said lets have a party in the office (i think that was me , i was telling this when we moved yo here in the first place) then murmers got started "what kind of a party?", "is it going to be a big one or it s going to be just us?" "what about the WC?" "do we have a theme?" "how about a costumed party?" (i instantly said yes, everyone hated it! ).. anyway at the end lets have a regular one. one that contain good music, nice crowd (equally dispersion of gender), alcohol and stuff.

the list was simple for good music we need the equipment (which i arranged from a friend) and DJ (which were Ant, Ferit and some people i cant remember now), alcohol from a sponsor (thanks to Binboa) and of course the people, everyone has invited some of their friend. bestfriends, facebook friends, party regulars..etc. i think about 200 people come and go all night, im not sure. at the end of the night i was a little bit drunk ..noo not by the alcohol, because of the loud music and the populous. and i liked every minute of it, no doubt.

p.s: thanks to Anıl Duran, for these beautiful photos.

La pasión del tango

çiğdem is so elegant and beautiful while she was dancing, wait for her Argentina!

i ve always been a big fan of dance. especially lately, i ve been exploring some groups that inspires me, contemporary, lyric etc.all along im not interested in latin dances, i dont know why but it bugs me somehow. Anyway my dearest and oldest friend Çiğdem has been dancing tango for 1 year, in that short time she attented to a tango workshop in Argentina already (she is an adventurous:)) For quite some time, tango is one of the topics that we talked about. the moves, the terminology, the shoes (i love the shoes!). hence my curiosity was growing.no wonder!

Çiğdem came to istanbul for the holiday (she lives in ankara), and she invited me to a milonga which i was waiting for a long time:) Last friday we went to Levent Tenis Club, where was classy, a little bit upper crust, and so the participants. anyway a bunch of girl drive off to the club, and i was the only "french" When we got there, there were only a few people and an edgy teacher who organized the night and pissed me off very often. we took our drinks and appetizers and began to wait the night get started. After half an hour, i got my first invitation and did my first tango with a sweet old man. i warned him before we dance, but he was so gentleman that did not abandon me on the dance floor. Thank You!
we took a tour in the dance floor, he instructed me while we were dancing. it was tough i admit, it was all about the steps. left, right, forward and backward.. close/open dancing..

and so.. do you like it? yess! i like it. but i must say that i love the type of tango that look elegant and classy, not the hot blooded one:) Elegance makes it sexy, dont make it coaction.anyway maybe its too soon to make meaning , all im saying that i loved to see that evetyone was desiring to dance all night no mather how old they were. that was beautiful. and it fires me,really bad!

remember "Scent of a Woman" Al Pacino and Gabrielle Anwar.
